Francesco
Federighi "Tazebao", was born in Lucca on September
30, 1973. He obtained his arts diploma at the Liceo
Artistico Statale di Lucca in 1993, and began his
artistic career as a designer, continuing a long
collaboration with publishing houses and prestigious
weekly magazines such as "Max", "TV Sorrisi e
canzoni”, "L'Espresso", "Il Tirreno", who acclaimed
him as "the heir to Mulatier."
Highlights
• 1996-1999 On requests from the
weekly “l'Espresso” realises many "portraits" of
major personalities, published as page illustrations.
• 1997 Painted for a magazine
distributed by the Italian state railway called
“Efeso” (Ephesus) and “Riflessi (Reflections).
• 2000 Collaborations with “TV
Sorrisi e canzoni” and the lively musical "
Superclassifica".
• 2001-2002 Commissioned by the
monthly periodicals “Max” and “Max Turkey” to draw
portraits of movie stars.
• 2002-2005 Refines to its limit
techniques in crayon, creating a series of exclusive
portraits entitled “I Figli del Tempo”. ("The
Children of Time"). The project, yet to be defined,
was the protagonist of a personal exhibition on the
occasion of the “Halloween Celebrations” in Borgo a
Mozzano, Lucca.
• From the 1st to 31st January, 2007
collaborates with M° cart maker Fabrizio Galli,
painting the cart “il vaso di Pandora” (Pandora's
box).

Tazebao with the opera "San Francesco che
contempl... Francesco che ci fa contemplare il
boh..." prize "vote online 2009"
From November 23 to 28 the installation is hosted at
the Fabbrica Borroni of Milan, in a collective.
After having designed a new personal style in crayon,
he devoted himself entirely to painting
representative art in oil.
